{REVIEW} Delicious: Emily’s Hopes And Fears

Delicious: Emily’s Hopes and Fears takes you on an adventure like no other before… During the hottest summer of the century, Paige fights to survive a mysterious disease. While Emily stays unwaveringly by her struggling daughter’s side, Patrick embarks on an epic journey through the blistering cold in search of the only cure: a magical flower… Can he save his little girl?

Delicious - Emily's Hopes & Fear

Release     : January 2016

Developer: GameHouse/BlueGiraffe

As hardcore fan of Delicious, one thing that I love from all Delicious games is their story. The gameplay are similar with New Beginning and Home Sweet Home. There’s lots of challenge too that will give you jewel to purchase a gift for Paige. If you already played the previous game in this series, you will get use to it so quick.

Because English is not my first language, I often had hard time to understand the challenge’s meaning. Thank God I able completed all challenge without re-play some level (in Home Sweet Home, you need to re-play some level to achieve expert score and completed challenge).

The graphics on Delicious: Emily’s Hopes And Fears are sharp with vibrant colors and solid animation. The soundtracks is amazing, it plays our mood very quick. Cheerful to sad, especially in the last restaurant. The only missing point in this game is voiceover. I wish in the next game they add voiceover.

Delicious: Emily’s Hopes And Fears have 65 regular level and 32 challenge levels in the Collector’s/Platinum Edition. The game also has a Scrapbook feature to keep all important moments, character’s biographies and a gift shop. Oh, and don’t forget the Achievements. I’m so disappointed because I couldn’t get all Achievements.

Once again, Delicious brings us into the emotion rollercoaster. I suggest you to prepare lots of tissue when you play it. Also, prepare your heart.

{SHOPPING} New Products & Re-Purchase

I know I’ve already said that I’m not makeup person multiple times, and I know I shouldn’t said that again, because in the end of the day, I still need makeup. I noticed my bare face is pale, like someone sick. Usually around my eyes and lips that look paler than the rest of my face. So when I went to DAN+DAN store few days ago, most of the products that I bought is eye and lip.

Among of these items, there’s one item that actually is re-purchase.

Pixy Cleansing Express Brightening

Price: Rp14.500,-

The best skincare ever. I have been use this for more than 2 years, so I think I don’t need to explain more why I re-purchase this because I already talked in Top 5 Favorite Beauty Products

And the rest of it, it’s new item.

Pixy Hypnotic Eyeliner (Blue)

Price: Rp40.000,-

I’m in the mood to do makeup experiment. I never wear anything dramatic for my eyes and I think this is the right time. I’ll post the result ASAP. And let’s be honest, I’m suck with liquid liner.

Viva Queen Eyeliner Pencil

Price: Rp27.300,-

This is my first time to use other brand for pencil liner, and I was regret it. The price are cheaper than my usual brand, but the color aren’t. Usually when I use pencil liner, it only takes one stroke to make the color out. But this one is not. I’m so disappointed and maybe I will not re-purchase it.

Maybelline Intense Color Show (No. 403 Plum Perfect)

Price: Rp39.000,-

I have weird obsession recently. I suddenly want a lipstick with dark color. But I don’t find the one I really wanted, so I switch it with dark red color.

This is my first time use Maybelline lipstick, so let’s hope the color are good for me. At least, it’s not make me look like a clown.

Purbasari Daily Series Lipstick No. 17

Price: Rp30.800,-

I bought this as backup if the Maybelline didn’t work for me. Even though I said I want dark color, but I’m still not brave enough to wear it as my daily lipstick. So I play safe. Hehe.

Anyway, I just remember something. I FORGOT TO BUY MASCARA!! (O.O)

{JOURNAL} Hello, Blog

So I made a miscalculation. I thought I will have enough time to write all review. But I was wrong. Preparation of undergraduate thesis was took lots of time. But that was worth it. I’m passed on test with A 🙂

This is me and my classmate who took exam on the same day. Surprisingly, we’re the first student who took thesis exam in this semester.

And this is my undergraduate thesis. I was research on how cosplay can be grow so fast in Indonesia, particularly Jakarta, and how they produce their costume. The method that I use is study case with qualitative perspective. Something that people think as the hardest method since it takes time to collect data, but turns out it’s not. 3 months is amount of time that I use to collect, displayed, reduce unnecessary data and conclude the result.

I’m so happy I’m finally passed the exam and on September, I’ll offically graduate. Soon, I’ll have more time to write. And talk about writing, I opened Wattpad account to published my novel. You can search my username: MissAmelie15 (or just click that hyperlink). But unfortunately, I only write in Indonesia language.

Or if you need more games review/gameplay/walkthrough, you can find me on MissAmelie (Youtube channel).

On the topic about this blog, I decide to change the format little bit. After this post, I’ll update every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Thankyou for reading this, and have a nice day!

{REVIEW} Nevertales: Smoke And Mirrors

Alice belongs to two worlds, the real one where she’s following her dream to become the head of a company, and the storybook realm of Taleworld where she was born. These two worlds collide when her owl friend Gears returns with an urgent message. Her father has been arrested by the Queen of Hearts and will be executed for treason! Alice must use her unique mirror powers to travel between the real world and Taleworld to make her way to the Queen’s castle. Alice’s mother is leading the resistance, but will they be strong enough to defeat the Queen?

Nevertales - Smoke And Mirrors

After play Nevertales: Beauty Within and Nevertales: Shattered Image, I have very high expectation before I try Nevertales: Smoke And Mirrors. And Mad Head prove my expectation. The graphic is colorful, all fantasy element that I need is there. Their artwork is amazing.

This time, Alice has been grow so much and now she’s working on company. Then one day, Gear come with a message. Alice need to go home to save her father. It sounds cliche’ at first, but as the game progresses, the backstory and twist near ending making everything become exciting. I spontaneuosly screams, “ WHAT THE HELL?” when I reach the truth. The story unfolded by using interactive storybook just like the predecessor, which is very smart.

The gameplay is still same, but less challenging. I think Mad Head Games are more focus on storyline which is not problem for me. I just hope they improved it.

Overall, Nevertales: Smoke and Mirrors is clever, stunning and the most creative game I ever played. It shows us how originality are important in game industry. Mad Head Games, you stole my heart again.

{REVIEW} Echoes of Sorrow 2

Your ex-husband killed your father, kidnapped your children, and shot your husband. While your husband is in a coma, use a dream machine to travel through his mind to find your children in Echoes of Sorrow 2, the thrilling hidden object adventure game. You’ll be immersed in the story from the very beginning as you learn about your ill-fated love and how your trust is broken along with your heart. What really happened the night your children were kidnapped? As you explore the world inside in your husband’s head, you understand just how bleak the truth is. You will do whatever it takes to get your children back!

Echoes of Sorrow 2

Back again with tragedy story that we thought we know the truth, but in the end, everything we know is lie. We found MC’s husband injured and in order to find the children’s whereabouts, we have to teleport into his mind. The story theme of Echoes of Sorrow 2 are dark and mature, it talk about betrayal, just like the predecessor. This is the strongest aspect on this game since the gameplay are very basic and nothing new in it.

Eventhough the mood is dark, but the gameplay are too simple. Nothing special, everything straightforward. And one thing that frustated me is they’re not give us jump-map. It’s really tiring to click back and forth several time.

So far, Echoes of Sorrow II is very classic and standard HO games that may fits for newbie than veteran HOPA. I love the story, but not the gameplay. If Alawar Stargaze/Karibu Games make another Echoes of Sorrow, I wish they step up their production.

{REVIEW} Witches’ Legacy: Slumbering Darkness

Good witch Lynn and her witch hunter husband are lured into a trap set by a mysterious sorcerer. Uncover his evil plans and save your family! You’ll be joined by an impish sidekick who can do what you can’t, when he’s got the right stuff… This is a meaty game with loads of puzzles and hidden-objects scenes to keep you satisfied.

Witch's Legacy - Slumbering Darkness (1)

I would say, the visual of Witches’ Legacy: Slumbering Darkness is the best. Perfect color, stunning and bright. So eventhough the story isn’t interesting to follow, our eye still get great view.

Nothing unique from the gameplay, but I enjoy their puzzle variation and the switch mode are helpful because I often stuck on searching the object. The interactive map also help me track if I already collect the morphing object and puzzle pieces or not. Yup, EleFun back again with puzzle journal where we can learn more about the character on this game.

The new enemy is the appreantice of Morgana. He change Edward into puppet who later become our helper, just like Imp. Edward the Puppet fix the broken object with tools. That’s very cool addition since we got lots of broken object.

The theme of Slumbering Darkness are darker than previous game, but it’s very enjoyable looking all the shades that they use. I think this color palette is Witches’ Legacy’s signature. So later if I encounter another Witches’ Legacy I’ll be like, ” Oh, this is so Witches’ Legacy,”.

In Collector Edition, we got Bonus Chapter as the true ending for whole story. The length are shorter (like other Bonus Chapter), but it’s very fun because we once strolling around The Other World to find the cure for Edward’s curse.

Witches’ Legacy: Slumbering Darkness lacks creativity on both storyline and gameplay, but the graphic are more better than the predecessor.

{REVIEW} Lost Lands: The Golden Curse

Life in the Lost Lands has continued peacefully for several decades since the oppression of the Black Horsemen was finally put to rest. But now, stone demon statues have begun coming to life in an abandoned old fort. The locals are panicking. No one suspects that an ancient curse has been awakened after sleeping for a thousand years. Thankfully, a mage named Maaron remembers Susan, the warrior who repeatedly saved the Lost Lands from the forces of evil. He summons her once more to the Lost Lands, because this time, it is not just the fate of Lost Lands at stake, but the entire human world

Lost Lands - The Golden Curse

Because I already bored with storyline, let’s just talk about the other thing.

The graphics on Lost Lands: The Golden Curse is high quality, the cutscenes are sharper than previous game and look amazing. The animation are so realistic, not to mention that the artwork on this game is the best.
